Theory
The conceptual basis of all of our shape modelling applications are formed by two key concepts.
- Gaussian process for modelling shape variations
- Markov Chain Monte Carlo Sampling for fitting models.
The combination of these two approaches leads to a fully probabilistic method for shape modelling, which we termed Probabilistic morphable models.
